I am a mommy and I love it. My children bring me more joy then I ever thought possible. They teach me how to be a mom, a child, and most importantly about God. I have learned more and grown more in my walk with the Lord through being a parent then the sum of my years walking with Him before Natalie, Zachary, and Alexander entered my life.
I am a wife to a hard working man, Jon. I enjoy showing him my love by keeping his home clean and taking care of his children. And I even will give him the occasional back rub or foot massage to show my appreciation for all the stressful and backbreaking work he does to support his family. I couldn't ask for a more supportive, loving and kind man to share my family and life with. I am proud to claim him as mine, and struggle sometimes to share him even with his children- though I never regret it when I do because one of the simple pleasures in my life is just watching him roll around on the ground with his sons and daughter.
I am a daughter to a hardworking mother as well. Though I may not have appreciated it growing up, I do now. I have no idea how she managed to keep 4 girls in line being a single working mom! I can barely handle my 3 children and I am able to devote much more time to them! I couldn't imagine working all day at a tiring job outside the house, and then arriving home for more work in dealing with 4 very different, very dramatic girls! All things considered mom, you are a superhero! I hope my children will say the same about me someday.
I am a sister to three very different woman, and many more who I have adopted as sisters over the years. The sisters I grew up with, I don't always get along with, but over the past years and many more to come, we grow a little closer each day. Especially with some more then others, but one day I am sure we will all be an inseparable bunch as we gather from our different corners of the world to watch our children play together in the front yard at Grandma's house. I can clearly picture it and its a future I am hopeful for more as time passes.
As for the sisters of my choosing, I hope to always bump into them in the future. I want our children to be pen pals, best friends, and soul sisters just as we are. Our hearts will always be tied close together with strings of iron that will never rip or tear, even across thousands of miles.
But most of all I am just a girl, a daughter of the one and only King of Kings. In all aspects of my life, my hope is that I make Him smile in my service to Him.
